Plywood sheets, which are made by gluing thin wood layers in a cross-grain pattern, are a versatile, strong, and affordable material. They have many uses for internal, external, structural, and marine purposes. Different applications require different types of plywood.
We use sustainable source wood, mostly eucalyptus and poplar, as well as other varieties, to make our plywood. We also use imported veneers such as Gurjan and okoume for the face and back layers of our plywood.
Eucalyptus and poplar are both fast-growing and widely available hardwoods that are suitable for making plywood. Eucalyptus has a light color, a fine texture, and a good strength-to-weight ratio. Poplar has a creamy-white color, a uniform texture, and a low density.
Gurjan and okoume are both imported veneers that are used for the face and back layers of plywood. Gurjan is a reddish-brown wood that comes from Southeast Asia. It is known for its high durability, impact resistance, and fire resistance. Okoume is a pale pink to light brown wood that comes from Central Africa. It is known for its dimensional stability, versatility, and lustrous surface
